PARICHAY: Orientation Program for First-Year UG Students

The orientation program began promptly at 9:30 AM with a welcome address by Dr. S. Chitrakala, the FYUGP Coordinator. Dr. Chitrakala greeted the first-year undergraduate students and provided an outline of the day's events. She stressed the importance of the orientation in helping students adjust to college life and familiarize themselves with the academic opportunities available through the FYUGP scheme.

The principal, Dr. U. Saidalvi, delivered the presidential address. Dr. Saidalvi extended a warm welcome to the new students, emphasizing Noble Women's College's dedication to offering a comprehensive education. He underscored the value of minor and MDC (Multi-Disciplinary Courses) in expanding students' knowledge and improving their employability.

Following the presidential address, felicitation speeches were given by Dr. Abdussalam, HoD, Department of Sociology and Ms. Mariyumma VK, HoD, Department of English. They congratulated the students on their admission and encouraged them to take full advantage of the academic and extracurricular opportunities presented to them.

Various departments introduced their minor and MDC courses to the new students. Each department representative provided an overview of their respective courses, highlighting unique aspects and potential benefits. This session aimed to offer students a clear understanding of the diverse subjects available for exploration beyond their major disciplines.

Starting at 1:30 PM, the program continued with department-wise orientation sessions and interactions, lasting until 3:30 PM. These sessions were designed to provide students with detailed information about their respective departments, faculty members, and specific courses. The interactive nature of these sessions allowed students to ask questions and clarify any doubts about their academic paths.
