Anti-Ragging Committee

Ragging Image

Ragging is considered a serious offense, and there are legal consequences involved. If any incidents of ragging or involvement in ragging are reported to the authorities, they will take strict action against those responsible. The authorities will consider the recommendations of the anti-ragging committee and decide on appropriate punishments for those found guilty. Students involved will be given a chance to explain themselves, but if their explanation is unsatisfactory, they may face severe consequences, including expulsion from the institution.

Objectives:
1. Prevention: The committee aims to create awareness among students about the negative consequences of ragging. They will organize orientation programs and sessions to educate new students about the college's zero-tolerance policy towards ragging.

2. Establishing Guidelines: The committee will help develop and enforce guidelines or rules against ragging within the college premises. These rules will be communicated to all students during their admission process and must be strictly followed.

3. Reporting and Investigating: Students who witness or experience ragging must feel comfortable reporting the incident to the committee. The committee will ensure that complaints are handled sensitively, maintaining confidentiality, and conducting proper investigations to gather evidence and identify the perpetrators.

4. Taking Action: If any incidents of ragging are confirmed, the committee will take prompt and appropriate action against the offenders. This could include counseling sessions, disciplinary actions, or even legal penalties, depending on the severity of the case.

5. Support and Counseling: The committee will provide support and counseling services to victims of ragging. They will create a safe environment where victims can freely express their concerns and seek guidance to overcome any emotional or psychological trauma caused by the incident.
