The Advaya Women Development Cell of Noble Women's College in Manjeri observed the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on December 4, 2023, through two impactful events.
Event 1: Mime Performance in College Courtyard
The day began with a poignant mime performance by WDC students held in the college courtyard. The mime effectively conveyed the gravity of the issue, emphasizing the urgent need to eliminate violence against women through creative expression.
Event 2: Know Your Rights - Legal Awareness Class
In the afternoon, an engaging legal awareness class titled "Know Your Rights" was conducted. Ms. Athira from the Department of Sociology extended a warm welcome, and the principal, Dr. U Saidalavi, delivered a compelling presidential address. Notable figures such as Shahma, the college chairperson, and Dr. Chithrakala, the staff secretary, offered felicitations. The session was expertly handled by Adv. Manjula from the Manjeri court.
The program concluded with a prize distribution ceremony to acknowledge the winners of the food fest Math quiz competition and adding a celebratory touch to the day.
The vote of thanks was graciously delivered by Aswathy, a 3rd-year BCom student and the student coordinator of the program. Her heartfelt expression of gratitude extended to all participants, organizers, guests, and contributors, emphasizing the collective effort that made the event successful.
